Tryout dates and location are up!
All tryouts will be held at the University of Guelph Field Hockey Pitch.
(If you’re using a map, it’s on campus, at the corner of East Ring Rd. and South Ring Rd.)
Tryout dates:
Tuesday, April 24, 8-10pm;
Thursday, April 26, 8-10pm;
Sunday, April 29, 8-10pm;
Tuesday, May 1st, 8:30-10:30pm;
Soggy Bottom Bowl tournament, Guelph, May 5-6.

2012 Season-at-a-glance

Welcome to another season of MuD Ultimate!
MuD is Guelph’s only summer touring team. We are a mixed team that is captained by Chris Sanderson, Bryanne Root and Andy Kubinec. The captains bring years of playing and coaching experience from the university scene, right up to Worlds level!
MuD has a formidable track record, bursting onto the scene and straight to the CUC National Championships in the inaugural 2010 year. Last summer, in a Worlds qualifying year which saw the mixed division flooded with talent from the womens and open divisions, MuD surprised everyone with another 7th place finish at Nationals. This summer will be no different, and we set our sight on a podium finish at CUC 2012 in Victoria, BC.
MuD is a team based primarily on team chemistry. While most teams rely on “Xs and Os” we rely on our ability to play with each other and understand how our teammates play together. This chemistry allows us to succeed when plays falter and breakdown. On defense we pride ourselves on giving everything we’ve got and making other teams work for every inch of field they get.
Here’s a look at the MuD 2012 season at-a-glance. We hope you can join us, either as a player, or as a fan.

2012 MuD Tryouts!

The time has come! MuD is gearing up for another amazing and competitive season, and it all starts with spring tryouts! We definitely hope to see you there.
Please fill out the Tryout Player Info on the Tryouts page before the first tryout so we know to expect you.
Tryouts will be held in Guelph on the following dates:
Tuesday, April 24; Thursday, April 26; Sunday, April 29; and Tuesday, May 1st.

ONTARIO UPDATE: MUD TAKES #3

We’re Back!
Despite a slow start to the season, cancellations and injuries, MuD has launched itself back onto the scene! We earned our way onto the podium, proved we could play with anyone, and showed that MuD is ALWAYS a team to watch!

An important update on summer Ultimate here in Guelph! Under the direction of the generous, dedicated and energetic Jason Murray, Guelph is getting its first ever Junior Ultimate program! We here at MuD are eagerly awaiting the new crop of Guelph Juniors, and are looking forward to supporting Jay and the GJ Ultimate crew as they grow into a real force on the Ultimate scene.

Get Your Ultimate Prescription Filled at the Clinic!

Is your game suffering? In need of a checkup? Then the Clinic is the place for you! MuD and GUPA are teaming up for round two of our Winter Ultimate Clinic series this Sunday, February 27 at the Centennial Sports Dome in Guelph (Next to College Heights Secondary School, at the corner of College and the Hanlon) $5 is the recommended price, if you have less, pay less. If you have more we love a good donation.
For those interested in trying out for MuD’s 2011 team, this is a great chance to get scouted, and get the rust out.
