After an amazing weekend in Sherbrooke, Mud has shown that we have what it takes to play on the National stage. Despite some heart breaking losses against old rivals and new friends, MuD never stopped challenging for the top, and ended Thursday and Friday’s round robin play in the top 8 power pool. Saturday started with losses to both RIP and Monster, however after a quick regrouping the team got back to fundamentals and closed the day with a 4 point win over Montreal’s “Tobasco”, to finish 7th in the country.
MuD’s goal for next year in Ottawa is to improve on this great first showing by putting our sights and feet firmly on the podium.
As for this fall, a new team is emerging to take on America in the UPA fall series. Mud along with Monster, GT and others are coming together to challenge the best the US has to offer at UPA sectionals in Ithica, New York. From there, Boston, then if all goes according to plan Sarasota, Florida!
